MMR Group TransComfort supplies RCS system and TPS rail fastening systems for Warsaw and Toruń

MMR Group TransComfort continues to support the urban rail infrastructure projects across Poland by supplying solutions that enhance track safety while reducing the environmental impact of tram infrastructure. Most recently, the company delivered RCS system and TPS rail fastening systems for the tram track modernisation at the intersection of Grzybowska and Towarowa Streets in Warsaw. In addition, TPS Rail Fastening Systems are currently being installed as part of the ongoing tram reconstruction project in Toruń.

As part of the Warsaw project, located at the intersection of Grzybowska and Towarowa Streets, adjacent to the Warsaw Rising Museum, two proprietary MMR Group TransComfort solutions were incorporated to improve infrastructure durability and enhance long-term track performance:

  1. RCS system

The RCS system is a professional rail boot designed to encapsulate the rail foot and web. It effectively mitigates vibration and structure-borne noise while providing electrical insulation that protects the track infrastructure against stray current corrosion. The benefits are experienced by both tram passengers and residents of nearby buildings, who enjoy significantly lower noise and vibration levels and improved everyday comfort.

  1. TPS rail fastening system

Installed using top-down construction technology, the TPS rail fastening system delivers outstanding durability, operational reliability and cost-effective lifecycle performance. For sections incorporating green track, the system is complemented by dedicated polymer protective covers that shield the resilient fastening components from contamination and weather exposure, thereby extending their service life and reducing maintenance requirements.

For the tram reconstruction project in Toruń, along Konstytucji 3 Maja Street (between Śląskiego Street and the Olimpijska tram terminus), MMR Group TransComfort has supplied its TPS rail fastening system. Construction works are currently in progress.

For local communities, these infrastructure upgrades translate into improved tramway operational safety, more reliable public transport services and a significantly higher level of comfort for residents living in the immediate vicinity of the tram corridor.

MMR Group TransComfort would like to thank all project partners for the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure investments that support the development of modern, sustainable urban rail transport.
