MMR Group TransComfort at the NOVKOL 2023 conference

On 30.11-2.12.2022 in Zakopane, the 21st Scientific and Technical Conference NOVKOL “Modern technologies and management systems in rail transport” was held. MMR Group TransComfort, as the gold partner of the meeting, presented railway systems which reduce noise and rail wear on curves.

The NOVKOL Scientific and Technical Conference, organized by the Stowarzyszenie Inżynierów i Techników Komunikacji RP [Polish Association of Engineers & Technicians of Transportation], has been gathering experts and practitioners from the rail transport industry for years. The this year’s topics of lectures and debates focused on current challenges and threats in rail transport, as well as issues of safety, management, system diagnostics and digitization.

During the conference, MMR Group TransComfort presented modern systems for reducing noise and rail wear on curves from the Slovenian manufacturer ELPA d.o.o.:

  1. CL-E1 modular, trackside railway lubricators, which:
  • reduce rail wear by more than 3.3 times,
  • reduce the costs of maintaining the device throughout the entire operational period,
  • reduce noise resulting from friction against the rail up to 30 dBA (99.9%),
  • reduce the wear of rail vehicle wheels,
  • reduce vibrations and make the movement of railway vehicles smoother;
  1. i-ROCK on-board devices for lubrication of rail wheels on contact surfaces of wheels and rails, which:
  • reduce the wear of the rails when cornering by up to 70% and accordingly extend the life of the wheels,
  • consistently reduce friction noise (squeals) by up to 99.9%;
  1. BREMEX ANNSYS globally unique systems for reducing high-frequency noise emitted by track brakes at marshalling yards, which:
  • reduce high-frequency noise (HFN) in the entire marshalling yard by up to 99.9%,
  • reduce wear of brake shoes up to 8 times,
  • reduce the wear of turnout elements throughout the marshalling yard,
  • minimize the life cycle costs of the braking mechanisms thanks to reduced vibrations and “soft” braking.

MMR Group TransComfort thanks the organizers and participants for another substantive meeting.
