Delivery of a record-breaking TATUNG electric motor

At the end of December 2023, MMR Group TransComfort delivered the TATUNG electric motor to its contractor, one of the leaders of the Polish fuel and energy industry.The motor holds the record i.a. in terms of weight – 9,350 kg, and production time – 7 months.

 

TATUNG, founded in 1918, is a leading brand of energy saving and green energy systems and services in Taiwan. It specializes in intelligent solutions and IoT solutions for various industrial fields, including electric motor industry.

 

The TATUNG electric motor delivered by MMR Group TransComfort to the Polish fuel and energy concern is used to drive the circulating water pump in the cooling system. It is a record holder in the history of the MMR Group company in the following aspects:

 

  1. mass: 9350 kg,
  2. performance parameters:
    • power: 1100 kW,
    • supply voltage: 6 kV,
    • power frequency: 50 Hz,
    • 10 fields,
    • shaft rotation speed: 590 RPM,
    • operating mode: S1,
  3. overall dimensions: 3x2x1.5 m.

 

The motor was manufactured in a record time of 7 months and made a 5-week journey by sea from Taiwan to Poland. Customs clearance at the port of Gdynia and delivery to the customer using a low-bed trailer was carried out by TERRAMAR, with the help of Ms. Karolina Botwicz and Ms. Anna Musiał.

MMR Group TransComfort tests a machine for precision cutting of rails from polyurethane

MMR Group TransComfort has carried out tests of a machine designed for cutting rails out of polyurethane. The tests were conducted at the end of April in Łódź during repair works related to the need to replace rails embedded in polyurethane on a track shared with a bus roadway. The tested machine is the only one of its kind in Poland, and its technology was developed in Switzerland. This marks another step toward more efficient and modern maintenance of tram infrastructure.
