Installation of the innovative T-REX devices in Warsaw and Szczecin

MMR Group TransComfort continues to develop innovative solutions for tramway catenary systems. After the successful implementation of the T-REX tensioning device in Łódź, it is time for the first installation in Warsaw and Szczecin.

The T-REX system was installed on the night of March 19th on Okopowa Str. in Warsaw and on the night of April 28th on Bohaterów Warszawy Ave. in Szczecin. The device replaced the weight compensation system and will be subject to ongoing monitoring by the user. A key advantage of the T-REX tensioner is its lightweight design – it weighs only 50 kg (in the 750 version), which significantly facilitates installation on the catenary pole. The device operates based on spring technology, commonly used in catenary network compensation.

The solution provided by MMR Group TransComfort is the result of collaboration with the Italian manufacturer Gruppo Bonomi, one of the leaders in catenary solutions in Europe and globally. MMR Group TransComfort offers comprehensive solutions for the construction and maintenance of catenary systems, including insulators, cantilevers, suspensions, connectors, wires, and specialized solutions for unconventional installation conditions, such as rigid catenary systems or tunnel cantilevers.

MMR Group TransComfort tests a machine for precision cutting of rails from polyurethane

MMR Group TransComfort has carried out tests of a machine designed for cutting rails out of polyurethane. The tests were conducted at the end of April in Łódź during repair works related to the need to replace rails embedded in polyurethane on a track shared with a bus roadway. The tested machine is the only one of its kind in Poland, and its technology was developed in Switzerland. This marks another step toward more efficient and modern maintenance of tram infrastructure.
