Air spring system

Secondary air suspension systems

Secondary air suspension systems reduce vehicle structural noise and wear on rails, wheels and other suspension components, as well as regulate vehicle height according to varying load values. They contribute to increasing the comfort of a rail vehicle and guarantee the safety of its running.

Air suspension systems of the second degree are responsible for transferring longitudinal and transverse forces, vertical static loads and dynamic loads. They also protect the rail vehicle against derailment in airless (emergency) mode.

Secondary air suspension systems are matched to the vehicle and the function they must fulfill in it. For railway vehicles we offer:

– half-bellows – for bolster-less bogies; for high-speed trains and modern bogies in local and metro transportation,

– belted air springs – for use with bolstered bogies,

– double convoluted air springs – reliable and technically the simplest solution of the air-suspended secondary springs.
