RCS® system
The RCS® system is an innovative solution which isolates stray currents and reduces shocks and vibrations. It has been designed for easy installation, regardless of the track structure. The main elements of the RCS® are elastomeric profiles, which fasten and insulate the rail, and anchor nodes of a simple structure. RCS® profiles do not collide with any commonly known and used rail fastening.
The RCS® system, due to its universal design, can be used on many types of tram tracks:
- tracks shared with the roadway – thanks to the RCS® system, there is no need to use anchor nodes, because the side and bottom profiles will act as a fastening of the rail to the foundation,
- green tracks – rail fastenings can be in the form of track screws, dowels or special structures with adjustable spacing, selected depending on the estimated track load,
- turnout nodes – then precise connection with the track rails is important, which requires specific cutting and fitting of elastomer profiles.
MMR Group TransComfort has been implementing the RCS® system since 2000 in the largest cities in Poland, including Szczecin, Warsaw, Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Kraków, Silesia and Zagłębie.
